Who we are
Turtles & Dolphins LLC is a California limited liability company operating at turtlesanddolphins.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what we do not do with it.
Information we collect
We collect very little. Specifically:
- Contact form submissions. If you write to us through the form on our website, we receive the name, email address and message you provide.
- Mobile telephone numbers, only where a person has entered their own number into one of our internal applications and expressly enabled text notifications. See the SMS section below.
We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build visitor profiles, and we do not buy personal information from third parties.
How we use it
Contact form information is used to respond to your enquiry and for our own records. Mobile numbers are used solely to deliver the notifications the number's owner asked to receive.
SMS notifications
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose mobile telephone numbers to any third party, and we do not share them with affiliates or marketing partners. Mobile numbers collected for text notifications are used only to send the notifications described here.
Our internal business applications can send text message notifications to the account holder who configured them. Consent is given inside the application: the account holder enters and verifies their own mobile number and switches on an explicit opt-in control. Consent is recorded with the date and time it was given. Messages are sent only to that verified number.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on filing deadlines and account activity. In ordinary use, recipients receive fewer than ten messages per month, and in most months none at all.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates apply to messages you send and receive. We do not charge for the notifications themselves.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or switch the notification control off inside the application. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at the address below.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only where it is necessary to operate: with service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, such as our website host and our messaging provider, and where we are required to do so by law. Mobile telephone numbers are excluded from any sharing for marketing purposes, by anyone, in all circumstances.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected or as required by law, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Our website and applications are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
